BRITISH LICENSING BILL.
THE COMPENSATION CLAUSES. London, October 28. The two compensation clauses of the Licensing Bill liave been passed. The first of the compensation clauses provides that the fund from which the compensation is to be paid is to be provided by a levy on the liquor trade of the whole of England and Wales. i'ue second, apparently, defines the basis on whieli the amount of compensation . to be reekonod. It seems that the House luis not yet decided the limit of time during which compensation is to he granted.
