TAKA.N Alii ASSOCIATION. The animal meeting of the. above was held on lUth October. Jlr. J. Clarke (New Plymouth) occupied the chair. The election of officers resulted as follows; Patron, Jlr. W. T. Jennings, M.P., New Plymouth; president, Jlr. N. J. King, Stratford; council, Messrs. J. J. Clarke (New Plymouth), L. U. Jennins (Waitara), K. G. llarr and A. Hansen (hAtham), M. F. Purser (Ilawera). (Two vacancies are open for- noinhation by the Kahotu and Stratford Athletic Clubs). Secretary and treasurer, Mr J. H. Thompson, Stratford; auditor, Mr. Louis Kiera, Stratford. It was resolved that rule 4 be amended to read: "That the secretary of the Stratford centre shall be eligible to vote in the affairs of the Council." A bonus was voted in addition to Mr. J. 11. Thompson's salary lor his past year's work as secretary. Mr. J. Clarke was elected to represent the centre at the annual meeting of the Union to be held at Duucdiii ra January, 1801). It was decided to forward the following remits to the. isS'.Z.A.U.'s annual meeting:—That the whole of the 2s (kl registration fee be retained iby the centre; that nnmi-.ia.tiou and acceptance fees be fixed at a maximum of •"> per
cent, of the prize money; that officials of unregistered clubs be debarred from taking any part whatever in registered meetings and that officials of registered clubs be debarred from taking any part whatever iu unregistered meetings. At a subsequent meeting of the Council, Mr. J. Clarke was re-elected to the position of chairman for the ensuing season.—Post.
