JAPAN DESIRES A CONFERENCE OF ' THE POWERS. Received 25, 8.11 p.m. London, October 24. The Standard's New York correspondent says it is reported at Tokio tlhat Jsipnil desires a conference of the Powers interested in tint Pacific to discass and settle mutters containing possibilities for future friction. It is stated tliat Japan is prepared to convene the conference if Britain or America initiates it.
