WAITARA WEST ROAD BOARD

At the monthly meeting of the above Board there were present Mr. S. Turnbull (chairman), Messrs.Council, Smith, and Yule. Correspondence was read from Mr. .J. J5. Buy staling that lln plan of Kelly road deviation required altering, and that after this was don.; he would complete the transfer of land t<> -Messrs. Smith and I'aweet-t. Kiekard presented a petition asking that the whole of the rates on the county part of the Richmond road be allocated to that mail, but the Board objected to doing thN. The clerk \yas directed to inform him that the Hoard could not undertake the work. The clerk was directed to allocate the general rate to the several district. roads, ami the following amounts were transferred from contingent a:;-1 count: To the Te Arei road, £35; I Cross, £2l f Corhetl, tll4; Wortley. | Richmond, and Kelly. Cl 7 10* each; Waitara, £l2 10*; and Manutahi Kast, £5. The clerk was directed to draw up specifications for supply of metal for repairs to Te Arei, Worllev, Brown, and Tate roads, and three chums of metal on Manutahi Jiast road, tenders to'be in by the next meeting. AecounU amounting to £43 were passed for payment, and the Board rose.
