The Australasian Medical Congress carried a resolution that hospitals maintained by eharilable donations and Government grants should bw free to patients, and that t-licse patients should sign a declaration of inability to afford to pay for medical attendance. Dr. Ma-on. Chief Health Officer of New Zealand, delivered a paper i.'iitilled. "Sidelights on the Work of a Health Officer.''
