The case of the alleged loss 01 jewellery from <tlio shop of James I'aseoe, u Karangahakc road jeweller, was before the S.AI. Court again to-day. The plaintill' was Jane Urown. and the ueiendant dames I'aseoe. T)'e plaintiff aljeged that on the night of a robhery ill defendant's shop some jewellery of hers was deposited there, and that it was hist through the negligence of the defendant. The Marine Department, after giving the subject careful consideration, had come to the conclusion that the proper remedy was the establishment of public markets.
