CRICKET.
NEW PLYMOUTH CLUB. A meeting of the committee of the New Plymouth Club was held on Tuesday night. It was resolved that the East team a hould be called Wanderers and the West team Rovers. Messrs. Jack and Steeds (Wanderers), Elliott and Williams (Rovers), Berg (junior team), and J. Muldoon (Saturday team) were appointed as delegates to the North Taranaki Association. The following new members were elected: — Rev. Colvile, Messrs. B. Coppen, Johns, McLaren, Nay lor, and Kent. It was decided that the High School should be granted the use oi practice wickets in the Recreation Grounds on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, subject to the approval of the Recreation Sports Ground Committee, wickets to be vacated by 4.30 p.m. and members to abide by the by-laws of the Sports Ground. The New Plymouth junior team to play King's team on the Tukapa Ground this, afternoon at 2,30 will be as follows:—A. Osborne, T. Anderson, N. Arden, J?. Tunibull, T. Petty, K. Naylor, W. H. Price, R. Sinclair, E. Grey, F. Whittle, and W. Kent. The following will represent Newton King's team:— Kebbell, Honan, Healy. Woodard, Wood, Pritcimrd,'Outfield, Kibbv, Cottier, Caunell, amlDeightou. All other members of the club are reipiesU'd to attend net practice in' the Recreation Sports Ground. I'laying lor Sussex, A. K. lielf, the Auckland professional coach, had the following analysis for bowling on UUi September: —1170 overs, ;JB2 maidens, 2375 run-, KB wickets, average 17.85.
