THE CLOSURE APPLIED. j London, October 20. ' Mr. U. E. Kearley, Secretary to the Board of Trade, moved that it should Iw an instruction to the committee to insert in the London Electricity Supply Bill a clause giving tfoe London County Council ultimate power t# purchase the Klectric system. Mr. Winston Churchill, President of the Board of Trade, moved the closure cf the debate. This was resisted by the Radical and Labor members. It was tarried by the narrow majority of 153 votes to 144 amid cries of "Re eign!" THE CHILDREN'S BILL. London, October 20. In the House of Commons the Children's Bill was read a third time.
