BAPTIST CONFERENCE.
By Telcgraph.-Prcss Association. Nelson, Last Night, lii connection with the Baptist Conference, to-day was devoted to the Missionary .Society of that Church. Reports were received from the Uev. John Table, J)r. North, Mrs. Deeartaret, Misses Beckinghsile and Uuinxford, who are laboring in the mission fields. A conver.sazione was held in the alternoon and numerously r.ttended. The Uev. Alfred North presided. Mr. Driven and Uev .E. A. Kirwood, with the chairman, gave stirring addresses. As to the financial aspect of the society, revenue amounted to £20(10, leaving a credit bal-.nnv of £IBO. This afternoon a .1500 gift was announced as a memorial to a departed daughter. Tonight a missionary meeting was held, when Mie church was crowded. Mr. George presided, -and speeches' were made by Miss Gainsford, Kevs. Hay and Knuwles Kenipton.
