NORTH TARANAKI HUNT CLUB

The annual meeting of the North Taranaki Hunt Club was held on Saturday. Mr. A. 11. llalcombe presided: The balance-sheet presented showed the receipts during the past year to have been £358 8s Od, and the expenditure £258 2s 7d, leaving a credit balance of £lOl 5s lid. The balance-sheet was adopted, after remarks had been made on its satisfactory nature. The chairman said the club owed hearty thanks to the farmers, who had been very generous. He also pointed out that the club was doing good work in improving the .stamp of horse in the district. Mr. Cliff thought, too, that the club should pass a hearty vote of thanks to the secretary, who had given such keen attention to the club's affairs.

Complimentary references were also made to the master, Mr. A. Cliff, and to Mrs. Cliff, who were accorded a hearty vote of thanks.

Street, Notice of motion was given by the chairman to alter the date of the annual meeting from February to October or November.

A hearty vote of thanks was accorded the Taranaki .Jockey Club for its liberal assistance in connection with the club's recent race meeting. Votes of thanks to fanner* who had allowed the club to hunt over their properties during the season, to the ladies' committee, press, and outgoing officers concluded the meeting. ,
