While Mr. Randolph Hearst Avas travelling through Oinnlia on n train, the Sheriff of Nebraska l»nrded the train in order to serve ou him a writ issued Jiv (iovernor Haskell, claiming £1,200,000 damages, for alleged libel contained in the Rpeech made by Mr. | ltearst at Memphis in which lie described (iovernor Haskell as a tool of the Standard Oil Trust, Mr. Hearst and his wife were in a Bleeping saloon and were just retiring to bed when the Sheriff demanded admission. Hearst refused to open the door. The Sheriff burst the door open and servud the writ.
