Millar, to endeavor to get a. modification of the sentence imposed on the second officer of the Penguin as a sequel to the collision of tlhat steamer with the Gertie. It was urged that the suspension of the certificate for three month.*} and the debiting of six guineas cost* were out of all proportion to the alleged lack of caution and that a censure would have b-oeu sufficient. The Minister said one could not interfere with the Court, but he would look into the case.
