Caibinet has under consideration an oiler from ttlie Pacific Islands ivadiolelcgraph Company, an English syndicate, for the establishment 01 a stem of wireless telegraphy between Xew Zealand and seven of the Pacilie Islands. It lias been resolved by tile Government to make further enquiries before finally deciding. Sir u«sepn Ward told a New Zealand Times' representative to-niglrt that .New Zealand was favorable to linking the islands and recognised its advantage. Die proposals submitted, however, do not cover all that Xew Zealand requires, iu addition to tile Pacific Islands New Zealand wants the Auckland islands and Hie Chatham Mands connected, and Ihe present offer does not include these islands.
