The weather was fine and all outdoor entertaiments were very IrjrgHy patronised; The tltamway trail,c during the day .was unusually lie.ny. Auckland, Wednesday. La.'>'i- Day is being pretty generally observed ils a holiday here. Tho trades procession was a large one and i.ii'iudcd some very fine displays. Though the weather was shower? large crowds witnessed the procession and attended the sports in the Domain after. Dunedin, Wednesday. | The weather is fine but unsettled. There is a close holiday here. The •principal functions a.-« sports at Outram and races at Wingatui. Wellington, Last Night. Tho weather in Wellington for the Labor Day holiday was perfect. Large numbers of people nttendeil t'he Labor Sports at Miramnr. which were carried out with success. The Harbor excursions were well patronised, and everybody seemed to be out of the cit'v. Some of the bowling clubs hud their oHicial opening of the season, and the greens were well attended. Altogether the holiday was very enjoyable.
