A HEALTHY POSITION. Received 15. 0.3 a.iu, Melbourne, October 14. Sir William Lyne delivered 'hi# Fedoval Budget to-night. The totnl revenue for the year was £15,015,708, the customs and excise yielding .£11,045,40!) and the post office 0,21)7,100. The total realised over the preceding year was C2,ol:i,ti2!i. The Treasurer attributed the large increase partly to the new tarifl and partly to the general prosperity. The expenditure for the year, exclusive of payments to State Treasurers, was .t16.158.8f1.'!.
