MASONIC LODGE JUBILEE.

An important Masonic function was successfully carried out iu Napier today, when tile fjeiude Lodge- (Xo. 41!), Irish constitution) celebrated its jubilee. The first part 01 the proceedings was a meeting, and the lodge room was taxed to its utmost capacity to accommodate the brethren in attendance, who included several (.'rand Lodge oflicers and representatives of numerous lodges in Xew Zealand and beyond tile Dominion. Grand -Master Lord Plunket was present, and Mas given as a souvenir of the occasion a miniature gavel made out of the original gavel sent out by the Grand Lodge of IreMiid. and used by the Scinde Lodge at its formation. There was introduced to the Grand Master, Bro. Henry Kenouf, of Xnpier, who is believed to be tilie only survivor of tlie original members "of the Scimle Lodge. Lord Plunket congratulated the celebrating lodge on its excellent position, and oil tile way in which it maintained the best traditions of Masonry. He also presented Bro. -T. W. McDougall with a handsome jewel subscribed for bv Past Masters wlio had been installed by him. An oll'ertory in aid of the widows and orphans' and aged Masons' fund met with a liberal response. Tin the evening there was a eonver-nzione and dance, at which the Grand Master held a reception.
