King Edward's message expressed deep interest, and conveyed cordial good wishes for the success of the deliberations, which, lie was confident,' were animated by a whole-hearted desire and unswerving ell'orts of delegates for the common good of South Africa. The Imperial Government's message was equally hopeful.
