SWIMMING.
NEW PLYMOUTH CLUB. The adjourned meeting of tile New Plymouth Amateur Swimming Club was held last night. Mr. A. R. Standish presided. .Sixteen new members wore elected.
Tlie following officers were appointed' for the. ensuing year; —President, Mr. W. L. Newman; vice-presidents, Messrs. G. Tisch, P. Mcllvride, A. E. Watkins, TV. G. Malune, ,1. Smith, and E. Bockrill; club captain, Mr. 11. Stocker; vicecaptain, Mr, E. IPfankuch; secretary, Mr. A. C. Maxwell; treasurer, Mr. L. B. Stohr; auditor, Mr. E. P. Webster; committee, Messrs. A. L. Dixon, Swanson, Brown, Turnbull, and Lints; handicapper, Mr. G. E. Scabright; delegate to centre, Mr. TV." E. Atkinson. It was decided to make application to the centre for the championship meeting to be held here. The. matter of appointing a swimming instructor was referred to the committee.
Subscriptions were fixed at 2s Oil it adult members and Is Gd for members under 10.
