TUBE RAILWAYS BREAK DOWN
WEIRD SCENES. London, October 4. All the tulie railways in London except the Central stopped working (or several hours on Saturday afternoon in consequence of a breakdown at the Chelsea power station. There were weird scenes in the tunnels. All the passengers alighteu on the lines and by means of ladders walked to the station. There was no panic, passengers being assured that the line of rail was not dangerous ur.til power was restored
