The judgment of tiio Industrial Court iu the claim of the Merchant Service Guild against the coastal >stednibli)i{\ companies for hotter pay nnd improved working conditions awarded increased pay to masters am] olliecrs, though not to Hie extent demanded. It also to somv extent varied the working conditions. The Court declined to concede preference to Guild members.
The President incidentally declared that the lute strike against tlie coastal companies was illegal.
