Alary'- Church, it is safe 1o as-ninc that to-night's recital, given in aid of tin- organ fund, will be cipia'ly well patronised. The iprogramme i- a well-varied one. including the treatment of .(he works of llerotd. Beethoven. Chopin. Jschnberl, Bach. Dubois, and Couuod. Mr. Remind will be assisted by .Mrs. C. Metcalf. an accomplished violinist. The combination or solo violin ami organ i- somewhat of a novelty here. but. despite the massive dignity of ..the one, the delicate tone of the other is of sullicient penetrating quality to cany and be effective over the heavier instrument, while the :\ ■ companying in-tinmenl al-o serves to bring out. qualities of almost orchestral character and gives charm and variety to the general ensemble.
