SQUADRON AT THE ISLANDS. Suva, September 30. The United States cruisers Tennessee (flagship of Admiral %wby) and Washington, with two torpedo destroyers, arrived at Apia on 1b« 2lstaad anchored in tfie roadstead. The programme of festivities included a reception, native functions «fl Talolo and Sivas, a 'beer evening, races, native foists and dances and a ball. The vessels loft early on Wednesday for Pago Pago. , The fleet colliers Strathyre and Sliathcona are overdue. The cruiser squadron is timed to leave Samoa on the 27th and is due at San Francisco, via Honolulu, on December 4. The destroyer Solace left Suva on 1124th to communicate with thc fleet by wireless. She is expected to return to take the Aeon's passengers.
