CANTERBURY COLLEGE BOARD. By Telegraph.—Press Association. | Christehurch, Last Night. At the meeting of the Canterbury! College Hoard of Governors, held this afternoon, the College Committee recommended that the .•Senate of the University of New Zealand be asked to support the proposal that proie.ssors and other ollicials of the Univcrsitv and its allilialed institutions should be included in Ihe Government superannuation scheme; that the invitation of Cambridge University to Canterbury College to be represented at Ino commemoration of the centenary of Charles I Darwin's birth, which will he Wid in dune next, be accepted, and that Professor Rutherford be asked to represent the College on the occasion. The report was adopled.

Mr. Green ' (Mayor of North-East Valley) occupied the chair. Frequent allusions were made lo l.ieut.-Col. Stoneham and Sergeant-Major lienfell, and n good many of the remarks were intemperate and the arguments wviv heated. Oil was finally poured on the troubled waters by Mr. G. M. Thomson.

The only occupant was a lady who was playing a pia7io.
