The night not being too tine, there was not a very largo audience. Mr. I''. Oibbons was voted to tin- chair. Mr. Malum-'s lecture dealt with the time before any white man ever put a fool on New Zealand up to tile present day., and occupied about a collide of hum's. All those present were sorry when it nunc to n close, it being so very interesting, tin the motion of Mr. Oibbnns a verv lie-arty vote of thanks was accorded Mr. Al'aluiic.
