For Auckland and North, per Rarawa, SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 20, For Auckland and North, per Takapuna, at 7 p.m. For Australian States (due Sydney October 2) also South Africa, at 7 p.m. 'DOMINION* DAY.

Saturday, September 26th, being a Post and Telegraph holiday the following hours will be observed:—All maiis will close, at 6.15 a.m. The Post Office will be open from 9 to 10 a.m., after which hour it will close for the day. The railway travelling post office will run as usual, Ihe private box looby wiil be open as usual. The telegraph branch will be open from 9 a.ui. till 4 p.m. and from 7 p.m. till 8 p.m. The telephone exchange will open as usual. One delivery will be made by lettercarriers on Saturday, starting on their rounds at 8 ajn. The next parcel mail for the United Kingdom closes here on October 6th 'it 5 p.m. Mails for Chatham Islands will leave Lyttelton on October 1. Note.—The next best despatch for Canada and'the United States will be via Vancouver, closing here Tuesday, 29th inst, at 7 p.m. A posting box _b_a,s, now been erect-id at the junction of Frankley Road and Govett Avenue, which will be cleared daily at noon. Mills close at New Plymouth as fol tows:— For Waitara, Inglewood, Stratford, Eltlum, Normanby, Hawera, Patea, Waverley, Waitotara, Wanganui, daily at 6 IS a.m., 12.20 p.m., and 3.45 p.m. lor Fordell, Tnrakina, Marton, Feeding, Palmerston North, Woodville, DanBevirke, Napier, Wellington, and South Wand, daily at 6.15 «.m. asd 12.20 p.m. W.
