INGLEWOOD. (From Our Own Correspondent) The Parish Hall on Thursday night looked very gay, the occasion being the annual iball of the Inglewood Cricket Club. The hall was very prettily decorated with (lags and drapery, and the supper-room, thanks to the ladies, was a picture. Unfortunately for the club, the weather was very boisterous, and consequently only about twenty-live couples took the floor. The secretary, Mr. A. F. Thompson, carried out the* duties of M.C. in a very efficient maimer, and nothing was left undone that could add to the enjoyment of the evening. During the evening Mr. I. Hamerton, on behail of the club, in a very aice little speech thanked the ladies for the very excellent supper that they had provided, arid asked the, gentlemen present to carry a vote of thanks by acclamation, wliicli was heartily done.
