A 110 AT STEWARD ARRESTED. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. <>u arrival of the Monowai from Lvttellon to-day a steward named John Dunlop was arrested by Detective Lewis on a cmarge of assaulting a police constable at Lytlellon last evening, and using bad language. lie will be brought up at the Court to-morrow morning and probably remanded to Lyittelton.
MUES. Wellington, .Saturday. At Porirua early this morning Messrs Kod Brothers' slaughterhousec was destroyed by lire. Live sheep and a quantity of meat and tallow, etc were burnt. The loss totals £SOO, and there is no insurance.
