Failure only makes success sweeter. "tiood enough" is never much good. Wife wit is better than silly soleinnOf all vain thing-, excuses are the vainest. You can't- cure corns by growling at them. Anvone who can make money call make friends. Wo lose nothing by treating old age with respect. The man who is always right is ayt to bore his friends. Often a man who is as good as his word isn't much good. lie is a wise man who gets out before lie is kicked out. Some men never ask a girl to marry them till they are sure she won't. It isn't safe to judge what a woman wants to do bv the things she does. . 'Some people expect a sovereign s worth of gratitude for a two-shilling present. i It takes two to make a quarrel; but it also takes two to "kiss and be friends."
