TARANAKI METROPOLITAN COMMITTEE. A meeting of the Taranaki Metropolitan Committee was held on Tucsdnv, Mr. C. M. Lepper (chairman) presiding. There were also present: Messrs. Blnndell, Ellis, (loldwatcr, King, Hole, and Weston. The trainer's license previously granted to C. H. Parker was cancelled. Thos. Carson (Stratford) and It. Johnsou (Sentry Hill) were granted trainers' licenses, and Tim Jones and L. W. Nodder jockeys' licenses.

TARAXAKI JOCKEY CLUB. At a meeting of the Taranaki Jockey Club held subsequently an application was received from Messrs. Neylon and Spriggins to run the totalisator for the ensuing season. Mr. C. O'Connor was appointed starter for the autumn meeting. Mr. J. C. Montefiore was appointed clerk of the course. The programme for the Christmas mooting was arranged. It will he as last year excopt in the scurries, the winner of the firsy scurry having to carry an additional 141b in the second.
