HEALING WITH OFFENDERS. Calcutta, September 15. Six men who were arrested on the evidence of the late ialormed Gossain have been committed for trial on the charge of being implicated la the bomb conspiracy at Krishuasonie. The scditionury leader Surma, lias been sentenced to live years' transportation for sedition at Coimbatore. Two others, Abbas Ram and Chandra, were sentenced to a year's hard labor lor conducting a school for the manufacture of bombs. Tilak, the Nationalist leader, wlio was sentenced to transportation for | publishing seditious articles, has sailed for Rangoon to serve his term, AN INEFFECTIVE BOMB. I Received 10, U. 5!) p.m. Calcutta, September 10. I A bomb was thrown on a passenger train in Eastorn Bengal. Nobody was injured.
