MAKETAWA. (From Our Own Correspondent), Last Friday night a concert, organised tor the purpose of procuring funds for till' .Norfolk Road Sunday School, was held hi the school. Trimble showed some excellent magic lantern pictures comprising military scenes, animal and insect life, a series of comic subjects, some views of the large cities ill Europe and Ureal Britain, and views illustrating a fire in a city. All these, particularly the comic pictures, were much enjoyed by the audi.'iice. Mr. Sharp referred to the perfect manner ill which .Miss Trimble hail worked in training the children. He spoke also of Miss Trimble's a ml the other teachers' capabilities as teacher:! in the Sunday School, and had nuieli pleasure in pro-' posiug a vote of thanks to .Miss Trimble. Mr. Jones, in seconding, endorsed the previous speaker's remarks, and called for three cheers for Miss Trimble. After these had been given, slipper was handed round by the teachers and the children. Before the people dispersed, Miss A. Jones, the secretary, read the balance-sheet for the year," showing a credit balance of £1 3*s. Mr. G. Fitzherbert has sold his farm to Mr. A. B. Gamlin, of Ingle wood, for a good price. ,Mr. Fitzherbert, 1 hear, intends removing to Inglewood.
