As far as the Court was concerned, a man in New i Zealand was as much a foreigner as if - lie resided in a villogu in France, tt tlie practice were not legal, it would-' bar a great many divorces, and, if in ' future that point were argu«d and • ; higher Court decided that there was • no jurisdiction, tie decision would hivalidate hundreds of divorces that had been granted. j.
