liy Telegraph.—Press Association. Dnncdiu, Last Night. At a meeting of the local Bootmakers' Union to-night, a communication was received from the executive of the Federation urging members not to accept any bonus or work on any piecework or bonus system unless the system had been approved by the Federation. It wns decided lo urged the Government to insert a clause ill the Arbitration Bill making'it illegal for cmiplovcrs to adopt bonus or premium bonus systems. The following motion wns also carried:-—"We are of opinion that the time is-- ripe for Die introduction of a log price o'a a weekly wage basis, to be fixed for 'every operation so as to enable members to compute their earnings."
