Everything in connection with the Hospital Ball arrangements points to the achievement of a stirring success in the Theatre Royal to-night. The public of New Plymouth and district have always a warm corner of their heart for the hospital, an institution with a line Colonial reputation. Coupled with this arc the facts that tile workers include Mrs. Dockrill and Mr. A. Humphries (lion, see.), who are adepts in the art of conducting social functions. This means that the public will be well catered for. Mrs. George's orchestra will supply the music. A notification is given that the office of the Roya-l Insurance Co., Ltd., is situated in Devon street, ucxt the Theatre Royal. Judging by the numerous entries for the various competitions at the "Daffodid "At Home," to be held this afternouu and evening at the Whiteley Hall, we may safely anticipate a very successful show; the more so as the local nurserymen are having exhibits, nutably Mr. Duncan, of Westown, who will have about 1000 cut blooms of,the narcissi tribe, apart from other pot plants and blooms.
