LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL. iiy Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. Ihe Council met at 2.30 p.m. The Law Practitioners Bill was committed (reported elsewhere). The Oaiuaru Harbor Board Loan Bill and the Waikahu County Bill were passed.
The Council adjourned at 4.45 p.m. HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES. The House met at 2.30 p.m. On ihe motion of the Premier, it was decided to place on record the high sense of the services rendered to the country and Parliament by the late Mr. A. 1). Willis, formerly member for Wanganui, whose death occurred a few days ago. The third reading of the Town Boards Amendment Bill was taken and the Bill passed. POLICE OFFENCES BILL. The Police Oiienccs Act Amendment Bill was read a third time and passed. The .Second Ballot Bill was taken in committee (reported elsewhere).
