KNOCKED DOWN By. A HuiSE. (From Our Own Correspondent). Tariki, Yesterday. Mr. Syrnans, of Syrnans' sawmill, Tariki road, was to-day knocked down by a horse and trampled on. lie was rather badly bruised. TIRED OF LIFE. By Telegraph.-Press Association. Wellington, Last Night.' A law clerk named Frederick Watson, 25 years u[ age, with, a wife and children in Danncvirke, was found about mid-day to-day in a state of collapse in some scrub near Talavera Terrace, Wellington. A soda water bottle near him contained a solution of match 'heads, and he is supposed to have drunk of this. Constable Leckie, who found him, gave him an. curette, but this did not act. Dr. Boyd, who wns summoned, ÜBcd the stomach pump successfully, and Watson was then removed to the hospital. He said he was tired of life. He was out of work, and could not earn enough to support his wife and children. It is. I understood tliat Watson was rascally, treated for insomnia. ,
INQUEST. Ashburton, Last Night. At the adjourned inquest to-day on the bodies of Mary Dove Zoueh and Arthur Petric Pilbrow, who |ienshed through last week's fire, the jury returned a verdict that the eihilrt Pijbrow died from suffocation, and Mrs. Zouch from shock as the result of burns received in the fire.
