Mr. IX, Kollcr, of Uruti, was married at Opunuke on Wednesday last to Miss Hilda Huoper, of Pihailiii.' On the same I day and at the same place Mr. W. A. ('oomljiiilge was united in matrimony to Miss Margaret Schart'er. .Mr. Alexander Davidson, one of the earliest settlers of Napier, and well known in business circles, died on Monday at Uie age of seventy-four years-. II- was a native of Scotland, anil it is interesting to note that lie and Mr. Andrew Carnegie, the millionaire, were schoolboys together in old Dunfermline (says the Hawke's Bay Herald).
