BURSTING OF A CLOUD.
A WALL OF WATER. New York, August 30. After the cloud burst at Folsof a wall of water eight feet high swept through the mining camp. Twenty-three bodies nave been recovered. Received 31, 10..53 p.m. New York, August 31. Mrs. Sarah Rook, a telephone operator at Polsom, learning of the approach of the wall of water, telephoned to 40 subscribers enabling them to save themselves and iamilies. The bureau was wrecked, flier mutflated body being found twelve miiot distant with the 'telephone receiver still fixed to her lead.
