AUCKLAND NOTES. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, Last Night. The Marist Brollliers Old Boys' Hugby football team left here to-day via the West Coast on a trip to Wanganui and Napier. The party comprise iweniy players, and are under the management of .Mr. K. Dervun. Tile teams w) Iki played arc St. Mary's, Wftiigunui,and Marist Brothers, Napier. The party expect to return to Auckland on September IOUi.
The Southern portion of the Maori) professional football team, wiliich recently toured Australia, will leave horo for their homes to-morrow, the match with the Auckland team having beon abandoned.
The Auckland professional team to play Auckland will leave on Wednesday of next week, and hope to piny a match at Taranaki en route.
A TRIP ABANDONED. Invereargill, Last Night. It is stated that the proposed tour of the Invereargill Northern Union team is to be abandoned for the present.
