A BARQUE DISMASTED.
A SAILOR MURDERED. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, Last Njglil. By the steamer Navita front the Lament Pacilic news came from Papeete of a disaster which overtook the barque Eton Hall, bound from Newcastle to Valparaiso on August ui,i. She was picked up by tllie Taniaru, of Tahiti, in longitude 144 west, latitude 31.:; south, dismasted, and was towed into Papeete. When tne master was about t„ abandon the liton Hall two members of the crew broached a demijohn of rum and one stabbed the other to deatii. Ttfie prisoner was lodged in goal at Tahiti.
