She met with heavy wind and seas, and could make little headway on the voyage from Newcastle to Wanganui, but suffered no damage. An important alteration was recently made in Liverpool to one of the prosellers of the giant Atlantic liner Lusifoma, the blades having been increased in size and pitch so as to secure a. j greater grin of the water. A similar experiment was tried ten or twelve years a"o on board the Australian trader Aberdeen, of the Aberdeen line.
