The jury having found that Thomas Fitzgerald, charged with arson, was fit to plead, medical evidence was heard, A verdict of "guilty" having be hi Kturned, Judge Edwards said lie must Sentence the prisoner as a sane p.vsoo. He was convicted of a very sr:ions erinre. If foe were really insane lie would not be kept in prison, but sent to a place where insane people wciV kept. The sentence was five years' imprisonment.
