BARRETT ROAD BOARD.
The ordinary monthly meeting of the Uarrett Jiuad Hoard was held yesterday, when there were present—Messrs. (J. F. Bhmchard (chairman), V. Lcaluiid, and \V. IiUSM'II, The action of the (.'haii'man ill ordering twenty yards of gravd from the gaol pit was continued. Messrs. Whitakcr and flrouk<» waited on the Hoard to ask that repairs be effected on I lie Newton road, at an expense of tiHI. It was decidod to got the advice of the Hoards solicitor, as to Ihe work being done. Tii» chairman was authorised to have tlie old Onuita road bridge repaired. Amounts amounting to £3l 13s lid were passed for payment.
