NATION'S LOAD LINE.
THE BURDEN OF ARMAMENTS. MR. LLOYD-GEORGE ENTERTAINED IN GERMANY. Received 20, D.35 p.m. Berlin, August 28. Mr. Lloyd-George, Chancellor of the British Exchequer, was cordially welcomed here. At an entertainment and lunch at Hamburg in "his honor, Mr. Lloyd-George, referring to the settlement of the load-line question in ISO?, asked, Why not settle the load-line of nations, so that ships of State might not be sunk by the burden of armasoetfta? Britain and Germany Vere dependent'on one another and could help each other. He proposed a toast of enduring friendship between Britain and Germany, and added: "May God watch over and prosper both."
