The following report will Ire submitted t» the shareholders of the Cardiff Cooperative Dairy Company, Ltd., at their annual meeting on the 31st August: The season's milk supply falls about 7 j>er cent, short of 1000-7, a decline attributable about one-third to the bad spring and two-thirds to the exceptionally dry summer. Our cheese, which was practically all first grade and favor-, ably reported upon in London, was exported on open consignment. It realised an average of 5.40 d on the factory weight, or 5.00-on the weight sold. Tint butter was sold to agents in the Dominion at an average of Is per lb. Suppliers have received U\Ul per lb for butter-fat. 5 per cent, interest on share capital to be paid, and there is a balance of £213 4s Id to deal with. A profit of CHI Is on Taranaki Freezing' Works shares lias been placed to re- > serve account; being in paid-up shares,; cash is not available. Your directors J have thought it advisable to join th.-i co-operative marketing movement, and our export trade will be done through the National Dairy Association. The distribution will still, in all probability, be in, the hands of the firm as heretofore. It has been decided to make but-' ter for the present. Messrs. llichards, Topp, and McFadgen retire from the' directorate by rotation, and successors to Messrs. McKeau and C. Ralfe, who have resigned, must be chosen. Mi. P. F. Ralfe offers his services again as auditor.
