LAWN TENNIS.
By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Saturday. Invitations are to be sent to the ±New South Wales and Victorian Lawn Tennis Associations to send teams of six men to New Zealand to play matches about Christmas. Failing this, the Associations'are to be asked to induce individual players to come. The Victorian Association has invited New Zealand to send a team to Melbourne to compete in the Mars-Buckley match, but the management committer of tllic New Zealand body decided lost night that it would be unable to comply with the request. ".Further consideration is to bo given by the committee to a letter from the Lawn Tennis Association of Australasia which discusses the probability of a team of four English players coining to Australia for .the Davis Cup and afterwards extending the visit to New Zealand.
