The annual meeting of the New Firmouth Bowling Club will be held at tie ■Pavilion on Thursday noxt, at 8 p.m, Early spring vegetables are already making their appearance. This week Mr. J. Berndtson has been retailing locally-grown tomatoes and cucumbers. and to-day green peas will be on sale. With lamb on sale at Messrs. Sole Bros.' Sunday's dinner should be tempting. At Oakura on Friday next Mr. Newton King will hold a clearing sale on account of Mr. O. Oxenham, who has sold his farm. The cows and horses ire a really tip-top lot, and will be told without reserve. Anyone wanting good stock should find it to their advantage to attend this sale.

A reminder is given of the unreserved sale of dairy stock to be held by Mr. Newton King at Oakura on Wednesday on account of Mr. E. Julian. In another column Mr. Newton King advertises particulars of a clearing sale to bo held on the Vcale Road on account of Messrs. Marrett Bros, and Mr. R, W. Houston. Most of the cows are grade Jerseys in good condition and close to calving. ,
