At a meeting of the Chriatchurch branch of the Political Labor League last night it was ivsolvcd to announce Mr. Jas. Thorn as a socialist candidate for Christchurdli South. A resolution was passed asking Mr. D. G. Sullivan to stand for Avon in the same" interest. Thursday. | At a meeting of the Wellington Labor Representation Committee it was decided to contest six seats in Wellington ami the suburbs if funds are available. The nominations received at present are 'Messrs. D. McLaren (secretary of the Wharf Laborers' Union), W, Jones (secretary Federated Seamen's Union), C. Chapman (president Typographical Federation), w. WagstafT (secretary Carpouters' Union), (!. Campbell (organiser Political Labor League), and W. Young (secretary Australasian Federated Seamen's Union).
