A DELIBERATE MURDER. New York, August 17. Captain'"Hains, of the United States Artillery, witu his brother, Thornton Hains, the sons of General Bains, who distinguished himself in tho Cuban and Spanish wars, committed a dramatic murder hero.
The two brothers waited oa the landing stage of the Yacht Club at Loajf Island,famid a crowd of fashionable pleasure-seekers, until William Auuis, tlhc New York publisher, landed. Then Captain Hains shot Aimis six times, whilo his brother with a revolver kept the crowd back. Mr. Annis died of his wounds. Captain Hains declares that Aanis ruined his young wife. i-'oveseeiiig the collision, Mrs. Annis vainly tried to prevent her husbands from'hiading on tUie stage.
