Dunedin, Last Night, in consequence, of the City Council's refusal to permit tho Kaikorai Jiand to give Sunday night concerts in aid of their visit to the liallarat bands' competition, two oilers have been received by the I'and. one from the No-license party lo give 11 series of Saturday night entertainments, and the other from the Kev. ill". 'Thomson (secretary of the Licensed Victuallers' Association) to conduct Divine service on Sunday nights. Both, parlies undertake that no reference will be made to licensing matters. The letter's oiler was accepted. It is understood Mr. Thomso"i miarantecd tl'JO towards the Band's expenses, which assured their making tlhe trip lo liallarat.
